End of Summer (or is it?)

Lots of signs of the end of summer...like 50 degree mornings. But, this is Minnesota. we probably have some 80 degree days ahead of us yet. here are the latest photos of the beauties... At the end, two quick stories that might sound too good to be true.

Giving Cousin Sophie a lift.

yes. diving.

that's not rod carew, but you should see his swing!

beauty.

in the company of friends.
Monday, September 1. Levi jumped in bed with Mom and Dad first thing this morning. Laying there, he puts his arms straight out and says to Dad, “You should put nails in my hands sometime, Daddy.” I said, “uh, I don’t think so, Levi.” “But Jesus did.” He says. I reply, “that’s the great thing, Levi. Jesus did it so we don’t have to.” … a couple seconds pass … then, he says, “I want to be Jesus for Halloween.”

Monday, September 1. Walking together at Bethel today, Kate asked if she could carry my box of tissues. My allergies had been getting the best of me all day. Then, she asked, “Why do we need these, Daddy?” I said, “Because my nose is running like crazy today.” Without missing a beat, Kate told one of her best jokes yet. She said, “But Daddy, your nose doesn’t have feet, so how can it run?!”

a few notes from the pictures:

1. the dive- my quest starts today on trying to find a better belly flop picture than this.

2. the batting stance- awesome. his face resembles pedro cerrano from major league talking crazy to his bat. and that stance, i see some resemblance to one of the greats...

3. the meal with friends- i like how it seems as though levi is washing his corn down with a tall glass of parmesan cheese.

great shots. loved em.
